To all the men 40 and UP

How people OVER 40 should use intermittent fasting (TRF) to Quickly metabolize fat cells & reset weight Management hormones

What is FASTING?

Fasting ramps up your Sympathetic Nervous System (Fight and Flight)

Fight and flight response has a profound affect and response on your hormones

New to fasting….start a 12 hour fast Mon to Fri 8pm to 8am U will be sleeping the majority of that time

What EXACTLY happens during FASTING?

Increase HGH (Human Growth Hormone) levels up to 1000 percent. HGH becomes literally non existing in your body when you reach 35. Human growth hormone (hGH) is a naturally occurring hormone produced by the pituitary gland. It's important for growth, cell regeneration, and cell reproduction. HGH helps to maintain, build, and repair healthy tissue in the brain and other organs.

Also known as "SOMATOPAUSE" It is defined as a gradual and progressive decrease in human growth hormone (HGH) secretion that naturally occurs as we age.

Somatopause is associated with the following symptoms:

– increased fat tissue – even without a change in your diet

– decrease in lean body mass

– loss of bone density

– lower energy levels

– more skin wrinkles

– decrease in good cholesterol

– increase in bad cholesterol

The second is Adrenaline When our FIGHT and FLIGHT response kick up your adrenal glands release adrenaline. (a hormone secreted by the adrenal glands, especially in conditions of stress, increasing rates of blood circulation, breathing, and carbohydrate metabolism and preparing muscles for exertion. While in a fasted state Adrenaline converts into Catecholamines. Catecholamines are responsible for releasing fat cells into your blood stream where they are delivered to working muscles and liver tissue where they are used as a source of energy of fuel.

The third is Ghrelin levels (It is termed the 'hunger hormone' because it stimulates appetite, increases food intake and promotes fat storage) is DOWN. Ghrelin is responsible for hunger and cravings.

In a FASTED STATE metabolic rate INCREASES and U regulate Ghrelin to ELIMINATE hunger and cravings.

Forth is Insulin.

Insulin is very low in a fasted state.

Anytime u eat carbohydrates (carbohydrates is something you eat that the body converts into sugar OR anything that has sugar like a chocolate or fruit) you increase your Insulin level. As your blood sugar levels rise, your pancreas releases a hormone called insulin, which prompts your cells to absorb sugar from the blood. It enables the blood sugar to move out of the blood and into the body's cells. This causes your blood sugar levels to drop. When a person eats, the body absorbs nutrients from the food, including carbohydrates. During digestion, it converts carbs into blood glucose, or blood sugar, and this enters the body's cells to provide them with energy. During fasting we want to "starve" or prevent the cells from using this type of energy source so that it is forced to use fat instead as energy.

Recommended Fasting Periods

24 hours 1 or 2 times a week (Not recommenced) Recommended 1 every 2 months since it has a PROFOUND EFFECT on your HGH.

18-20 hours 2 x 3 times a week.

12-14/16 hours 5 - 7 days a week.
